An Integrated Online Experience For The OKCMOA
Fresh off the heels of a brand evolution by Switch, the OKCMOA was looking to integrate their brand into a more user friendly and future-focused website, better suited for the constantly shifting art and exhibition landscape. Our team collaborated with their marketing department to develop an online content strategy and user experience that both embodies their new brand, and brings viewers into the physical space through image-focused modules and mobile-friendly menus. With the restrictions in place during the pandemic, the online modules became a crucial part of the museum’s community outreach efforts. Our relationship with the OKCMOA is ongoing as we continue to build features for their evolving needs.

A seamless first-time visitor experience was central to the site’s redesign and development. The pop-out side menu makes for easy navigation and clear content hierarchy sitewide. The menu itself expands to full screen, allowing for streamlined navigation with adequate white space—containing everything a first-time site visitor would need to know before a visit to the museum. Our team designed a similar menu to simplify the purchase of tickets for admission, events, and weekly film screenings.
“The Oklahoma City Museum of Art's website reflects the ever-changing special exhibitions we bring to visitors. Cooper House has helped us organize and update the website in a user-friendly way that reflects our brand's artistry. They developed creative solutions to technology roadblocks, and the process was seamless."

The Collections page is perhaps the most elegant and immersive on the site. Our goal was to create an experience that was both informative and interactive—anchored by full-width, editorial images throughout. We incorporated an elegant zoom/motion effect on hover, creating the sense that the viewer is entering the world of the exhibit.
With redesigned calendar and event modules, it is easy to view exhibitions and purchase tickets for past, upcoming, and current events. Our development team integrated the site’s backend with OKCMOA’s software vendor, Blackbaud.
