Chickasaw Community Bank’s mission is to build better lives for everyone—which is easy to say, and much harder to do. But the team at CCB works diligently to maintain a community focus and to honor their tribal heritage, all while they provide top-tier banking and lending services. They serve the community locally as an established bank for business lending, mortgages, and personal banking. And at the national level, they improve the lives of tribal communities through HUD 184 loans and housing initiatives. While they had already undergone a rebrand in recent years, they needed a brand that better communicated their mission and heritage. Cooper House’s work included refining and elevating the primary mark, expanding the color palette, developing brand messaging, and creating a suite of design elements with flexible applications.

Central to our work in elevating the existing brand was the incorporation of texture and cultural elements as a nod to the bank’s heritage. The new mark mirrors the image of the sun, complete with rings that radiate from the center to represent CCB’s positive impact on their community. Custom brand patterns mimic the weaving patterns of cultural textiles, and we looked to nature as we expanded the color palette, drawing on sky blues and earth tones.
Alongside our custom patterns, logo refinements, and color palette, we developed a suite of graphics intended for use on the website and mobile applications to signify services and stages of the customer journey. Monoline drawings in geometric shapes cue the bank’s various services while strengthening the overall brand.
CCB’s new brand coincided with a move to a new location—and they needed an advertising strategy to help them leverage their new brand to shift public perception and build awareness in the local market. We developed a comprehensive strategy including outdoor, social, and digital mediums as well as compelling, brand-aligned messaging.
The digital side of the brand required careful consideration of the distinct user journeys across the site. Utilizing the curved line elements reminiscent of the primary mark and a series of modules to break up large sections of content, we built a desktop and mobile experience that is immersive, easy to digest, and cues each particular sector of the bank through color coordination.
