Skirvin Hotel
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
overview
A Legacy Reimagined
The year was 1911. Oil boomed, Oklahoma City thrived, and William B. Skirvin opened his namesake hotel as the city’s grandest address. Built in the Classical Revival style with Art Deco influences throughout, Skirvin became a gathering place for the most prestigious of guests: presidents, performers, dignitaries, politicians, and more.
More than a century later, Cooper House helped usher Skirvin into its next era. Our work began with a deep dive of the hotel’s history, cataloging every logo, advertisement, and graphic artifact from days past. This visual archive became the foundation for a new brand identity—one that honors Skirvin’s history while reimagining a vibrant future.

The new Skirvin mark draws from the hotel’s strongest and most enduring symbols. Designed to feel both classic and contemporary, it’s built for longevity—a legacy mark rendered in a fresh way. This identity comes through in each aspect of the guest experience, ensuring guests see, touch, and feel Skirvin’s prominence at every turn.

Our team designed Skirvin’s custom vanity website to complement Hilton’s digital platform from a more story-driven perspective. Through immersive imagery and narrative design, the site highlights the hotel’s history, personality, and sense of place—inviting guests to steep themselves in history, even before they arrive.
