Our approach to the brand was steeped in elements of Oklahoma culture and narrative—including native grains, wildlife, and colors.

The Milo brand concept bridges the gap between illustrative, heritage-inspired designs and modern typefaces. We worked closely with California-based KNA Design, consulting on art sourcing and interiors—their team implemented our illustrations into a bespoke wallpaper. 

The catfish and the hare are native wildlife to Oklahoma, drawn near a stalk of milo sorghum in an illustrative style that supports the bookish narrative of the hotel brand.
